Black Bear Wall Art

This Black Bear was enjoying a ocean side diet of all things that come with low tidal waters. The Wildlifer was able to spend time with this beautiful black bear laying in sea barnacles in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary on the West Coast of British Columbia. Food is plentiful in the protected area as are the grizzly bears and black bears. This is picture is quickly becoming a favorite for prints on metal and gift items including fleece blankets and pillows.

A curious black bear cautiously peeking around the slender trunks of the birch trees. Its glossy, dark fur contrasts sharply against the pale bark, making it stand out in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. The bear's round, intelligent eyes are focused on the Wildlilfer, its ears perked up as it listens for any movement.

High up in the thick branches of a massive cedar tree, a first-year black bear cub cautiously peeks out at the Wildlifer.
The bear's wide, curious eyes reflect a mixture of wonder and wariness, its tiny paws gripping the cedar tree with all its might. The cub's ears twitch, listening to every sound in the forest, but it stays still, uncertain yet drawn to the Wildlifer’s presence.

Black Bear Momma will send her cubs up the nearest tree at the first sight of danger. Fortunately, for these cubs it was a substantial size tree for their entire family. The Wildlifer had the opportunity to photograph these beautiful black bear cubs as they spent the morning feeding in the area. Photograph taken in the Prince George, BC area.
