Aurora & Landscape Wall Art
Landscape photography asks for something different than wildlife work. There are no animals to track, no behaviour to anticipate. What Eric waits for instead is light: the moment a sky opens up, a reflection holds still, or the aurora moves across the dark in a way that won't repeat itself. He has photographed landscapes across British Columbia, the Canadian Rockies, and the far north over more than 25 years in the field. Imagine the northern lights arching over a frozen lake, a mountain range catching the first colour of sunrise, or a river valley disappearing into low autumn cloud. These are places Eric has stood, and they can now hang on your wall. Whether you're looking for aurora borealis prints, Canadian landscape photography, or mountain wall art for your home, each image is available in three formats: HD metal prints, canvas prints, and fine art paper prints. HD metal is the most popular for landscape work; the depth and luminosity suit wide open scenes particularly well. Fine art prints are signed by Eric. Every image was photographed by Eric personally, in the field.
The wildlifer stood mesmerized by the ethereal dance of the northern lights above the Liard River, their vibrant green hues swirling and flickering against the starlit sky. The cool September air carried the faint sounds of the river’s flow, a gentle symphony that complemented the visual spectacle unfolding overhead. Each wave of light seemed to sway in rhythm with the natural world, creating a breathtaking backdrop that blurred the boundaries between earth and sky. In these quiet moments, surrounded by the vastness of Northern British Columbia, the wildlifer felt a profound connection to the wilderness, capturing the fleeting beauty of nature through both his lens and his spirit.

Nestled in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Gardiner Falls near Nakusp is a captivating natural wonder that draws visitors with its serene beauty. The falls cascade dramatically down a rugged rock face, creating a mesmerizing interplay of water and light. Framed by lush, towering evergreens, the area around the falls offers a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts.
During spring, the snowmelt intensifies the flow, resulting in a spectacular display of rushing water that tumbles into the pool below. As the seasons change, the surroundings transform, with autumn's vibrant foliage providing a stunning contrast to the clear waters. .

Salt River Wild Horses of Tonto National Forest
The sun begins to dip below the horizon in Tonto National Forest and the back light creates the perfect Black and White image.
As the sun sinks lower, the horses remain motionless for a moment, almost as if they, too, are taking in the beauty of the moment. The scene is timeless—two creatures, one dark and one light, standing side by side in the Salt River. Their presence is a perfect balance, like the harmony between day and night, light and dark, reflecting the serene, unspoken connection they share with the land around them.
The sun is just beginning to rise in Arizona’s Tonto National Park, casting a golden light that catches the dust swirling in the air. The Wildlifer watches with anticipation from the opposite side of the Salt River as a small herd of wild horses bursts from the dry thicket, their hooves pounding the earth with a thunderous rhythm. Their bodies are sleek, coated in dust from their journey through the dry brush, but their movements are fluid and powerful.
The lead mare, strong and determined, charges ahead, her dark eyes fixed on the Salt River in the distance, where the promise of cool water and relief awaits. Behind her, the younger horses follow closely, tails held high as they push their limits.. As they near the river, their muscles taut, their instincts aware of the shifting terrain, they surge forward into the cool, refreshing waters.
“ I learned afterwards that due to the dry conditions and lack of food, they have taught themselves to snorkel for the green grasses on the river floor” -Eric

A beautiful show of Northern Lights on the Cassiar Highway 37-A.
This Aurora night made history May 10th of 2024….. it was described as phenomenon in strength not seen for many years .
The Wildlifer was driving along a stretch of the Cassiar Highway (37-A), the road flows through the dense, quiet wilderness of northern British Columbia. The world outside the vehicle is cloaked in shadow, the towering “Entrance Peak” silhouetted against the starlit sky. The hum of the engine and the rhythmic sound of tires on asphalt are the only sounds as the Wildlifer weaves through the solitude of the highway, immersed in the vastness of the wilderness.
The sky is alive, but not with the familiar greens and reds of the aurora borealis. Instead, the sky is awash in a deep, ethereal purple—a vibrant, glowing light shooting out of the rugged mountains ahead.
In the stillness of the northern night, the sight feels impossibly surreal. The northern lights, rare and magical, are a gift—this purple display, though, is something entirely unexpected, an unusual rarity that feels like the universe is showing off. The stars are now hidden behind the colorful display, the air thick with the energy of the aurora, and the Wildlifer can hardly believe the beauty unfolding above him.

Three bison stand side by side on the windswept plateau, embodying the camaraderie of the "Three Amigos." Their thick fur ripples in response to the fierce gusts that whip through the air, a reminder of the cold challenge that surrounds them. In the backdrop, a rugged mountain rises majestically, its jagged peak etched sharply against the overcast sky. The bison, with their imposing presence, seem unfazed by the biting chill, a testament to their resilience in the harsh Canadian wilderness. The landscape around them is a blending of earthy tones, punctuated by the rugged beauty of the mountains, creating a striking contrast against the formidable trio standing steadfastly together.
The sun breaks out, casting dappled light on the back drop as the massive bull moose emerges from behind the evergreens. Its antlers, massive in size, stand out against the backdrop of Maligne Mountain, which towers majestically in the distance. The moose pauses, its powerful frame silhouetted against the rugged beauty of the mountain range, embodying the essence of wilderness and tranquility. The Wildlifer, with camera in hand, captures this moment of serenity, a testament to the raw beauty of the Canadian Rockies landscape.

After a full day of photographing wildlife in the early Spring of 2021, the Widlifer returned to his campsite by the Matthew River near Barkerville, British Columbia. A perfect end to a one of a kind day and a beautiful addition for home, office or a gift!

The Willow River, a seldom-seen gem of Prince George British Columbia, flows gently beneath a logging road bridge. The road in largely swallowed by the encroaching greenery. The bridge, once a bustling thoroughfare for timber haulers, stands as a quiet observation point, its weathered structure blending seamlessly with the surrounding nature.
The water glistens in the dappled sunlight, reflecting the vibrant hues of the forest canopy overhead. In this fleeting moment, the river's serene beauty offers a glimpse into the wilderness that thrives in the shadows of human enterprise.
Wildlife, undisturbed by the passage of time, meanders through the underbrush. Birds flit from branch to branch, their calls echoing softly, while the gentle ripple of the river adds to the symphony of nature. This unique perspective, viewed from the overgrown bridge, captures an untouched essence of British Columbia, reminding us of the delicate balance between industry and the wild.
It’s a very foggy morning as the sun starts to rise over a creek full of sockeye salmon.

A stunning evening with Northern Lights in Northern British Columbia.
The old, abandoned house sits quietly in the middle of a forgotten field, its timeworn walls sagging under the weight of years gone by. The roof, once sturdy, now slouches under the pressure of decay. Empty window and a door frames, peer out like hollow eyes, staring blankly into the vast, empty landscape. Vines crawl up the front of the house, winding around the porch posts and creeping through the cracks, reclaiming what time has left behind.
But on this particular night, the house is bathed in an extraordinary light. The sky above, alive with the shimmering dance of the aurora borealis, spills vibrant hues across the abandoned structure, transforming it into something surreal and haunting.
Above, the sky pulses with various brilliant colors. A soft lavender and deep purple shimmer across the heavens, as if the very air itself is imbued with magic. The purple hue casts a dreamlike quality, enhancing the house’s already eerie, forsaken appearance. The violet light blends with the green, creating delicate shades of blue that curl around the edges of the once loved home.
In this moment, the house seems less like a ruin and more like a forgotten canvas, caught between the earth and the sky, bathed in the mystical light of the aurora. The vibrant colors above soften the harsh reality of its decay, turning it into something almost beautiful, as if nature itself has found a way to pay tribute to this old home.

FAQ About Aurora & Landscape Prints
-
Every image is a real photograph taken by Eric in the field, never a digital illustration or AI-generated image. Aurora, mountain, and landscape prints are produced from Eric's original photography.
-
Each image comes in three formats: HD metal prints, canvas prints, and fine art paper prints. Metal is the most popular choice for larger art pieces, since the finish holds contrast and detail well. Canvas gives a softer, more traditional look for a living room or cabin. Fine art paper prints are signed by Eric and suited to framing.
-
Sizes vary by image, and most are available from smaller desk or shelf formats (11×14) up to large-scale canvas prints suited to a main wall (60×40) . Available sizes are listed on each individual product page.
-
It comes down to the room and the image. Metal prints suit dramatic shots like a stunning display of northern lights, since the surface brings out contrast. Canvas prints work well in spaces where a softer, gallery feel is wanted. Both are built for long-term wall display in a home, cabin, lodge, or office.
