Vetch Bear - Canadian Rockies

This absolutely gorgeous Grizzly Bear was photographed by the Wildlifer in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. During the late summer and fall months, grizzly bears will often dig for, and consume nutrias roots as a large part of their diet.

Eric has affectionately named this Grizzly Bear “D9” for her expert ability to excavate dirt and rocks in large quantities and very efficiently. She is a very healthy repeat mother.
